Dales Ponies adapt easily to any enviroment.

Canadale Dales Pony Stud moved from England, where Mr. & Mrs. Dunkley had first developed their deep love and considerable knowledge of the breed and established their stud, to Canada in October 1991. Canadale's herd of Dales ponies was the first of their kind to arrive in Canada or the United States. It is a fact that only the very best ponies that could be obtained were acquired for  Canadales breeding program. The emphasis being on traditional type, top quality (successful show ponies), perfect temperament, and diversity of lineage. Continuing Canadales mission statement to conserve the very best Dales ponies worthy, of high regard both in North America and in England, their country of origin, further regular additions of Champion stock are made from the U.K.. It is quite evident that this truly is a stud where knowledge & dedication is resulting in high quality ponies for breeding, showing, work or pleasure. All stock is guaranteed for health, type and temperament. Canadales first priority is the protection of this rare and versatile breed. Second is to promote its versatility, kindness and willing temperament. Thirdly to share their wonderful ponies with the horse and pony loving general public and finally to offer a secure retirement home if needed for their sold stock. Thus the need to set up Dalesmane Dales Pony Retirement Sanctuary, which the Dunkley's have recently done with the arrival of their first retiree, Roman, who became permanantly unsound after contracting Lyme Disease. Never will you find another breed like the Dales pony and never will you experience the devotion to any breed like that evident at Canadale. Enquiries always welcome.
